We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Ne. 1:20).

Canopy Car Seat Covers

Have you seen these around?

I mean the cover not the car seat.

If you live in Utah and you haven't seen them. You really should open you eyes.

A few weeks ago I had a conversation with my girl friends about making these

About a week later I had a baby shower to go to, with some of those same girl friends. (They are all in my ward

So I decided that this is what I wanted to give her. (She wasn't in the original conversation.)

And it was time to figure out how to make one.

So I did.

Here it is.

It is reversible.

He can go crazy if he feels like pirates or he can go for a little more conservative and trendy stripe if the mood leads that direction.

It seamed like it was well received.

Tonight I have another baby shower to go to.

For another girl in my ward. (She was in the original conversation and at the previous baby shower.)

Guess what I did?

I made another cover.

I know, I'm crazy like that.

It is reversible too.

She is having a girl after having three boys in a row.

It needed to be girlly.

Do you think she will see it coming?

I think she might have an idea.

I hope this works for her.

Now guess what I just might give you if you are having a baby too?

Christmas Eve Sugar Cookies

This is our second year doing the sugar cookie on Christmas Eve and I think we will make it a tradition.

We let Gideon nap while we frosted cookies, so that we all could enjoy the rest of the day.

(ShiAnne's hair looks red because of the sun shining through the red curtains behind her.)

Santa Clause

Both of these faces say it all.

Yet every day he plays with the toy Santa brought him. I don't think he really believes it is from Santa.
But some of us actually were nice......
.....and we got just what we asked for.
One more time at School just for good measure.
