.... do you know what it is yet?
That's right I made strawberry freezer jam. Sooooo yummy!!
So in case you want some freezer jam and have never made it before let me tell you. It is very easy to make. The recipe is inside the box of pectin (the stuff that makes it set up) use what ever brand you want, I've used both Sure-Jell and MPC. Today I used Sure-Jell but still experimented. I got a package of pectin for low sugar jam and made both a batch of low sugar jam and regular jam. They are setting up right now so after I taste both of them I will let you know which I liked better. I also bought way to much fruit so after I decided which I like better I think I will make another batch and when the peaches come on I think I will try the peach raspberry jam.
If you want to make your own all you need is strawberries, sugar, pectin and water. Also don't mash your strawberries by hand used the blender it is so much faster and easier and after you are done making your jam find a little bit more ambition and make some homemade bread to enjoy some of your Sweet Nectar of the Earth on. (If you really have no more ambition it is also really good on pancakes.)
