We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Ne. 1:20).

Confessions of the previously exercise challenged....

....well I might still be somewhat challenged.
For the last four weeks, four days a week, these clothes have been my alli. Well maybe not these clothes exactly but these types of clothes. That is right for the last four weeks I have been working out and to make this a true confession I have to tell you that I haven't really worked out in the last four years. I have lots of good reasons, excuses and justifications for this but I won't bore you with those right now.
I finally found something that works for me at a time that works for me and I'm loving it. I've been working out with a group of ladies in my ward and some of their friends we meet right after we send the kids off to school (So I don't have to get up to exercise because I just can't seam to drag my bed loving self out of bed to exercise.) but it is before I get distracted with the rest of the stuff I need to do that day. I like that I'm working out with other people it makes it more fun for me and makes me push myself. I also like the new friendships I have made.
I didn't decide to do this to lose weight although if that happens it would be a really nice side effect but it was more about getting up and moving, moving so I have more energy, so I'm a better mom and wife, moving to be stronger and moving so that when I'm 60 I will still be able to move. The motivation came after several epiphanies I have had over the last year.
So, to answer your question, no according to the scale I haven't lost any weight but I do think my pants are fitting a little better and I have returned to the world of being able to do a push up. So losing weight or not losing weight I think I will keep doing it. (By the way I haven't changed anything about the way I have been eating. Maybe that will come along latter, when I'm not quite so moody. Yes I let my mood determine what I eat sometimes and sugar will be my life long nemesis.)
So now to the really point of this post. Sense I started working out I have been so sore. Does any have a remedy for really, really, no I mean really sore muscles. :) Really I need some help!!!!!
Signed, walking like an old lady.

Camping

Shiloh had been camping with the scouts and I had been camping with the Young Women so now it was time to get away just our family.
We went to a spot by Payson Lakes that Shiloh had gone to with the scouts. I really liked this spot and it was fun to go some place new.

GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES

OH NO WHAT A MESS!

We went on a little hike and found some really great places to take pictures and then our batteries died.

Girls Camp

We got home from Tom and Traci's 4th of July festivities on Sunday afternoon. We had left the girls there because I was head to girls camp the next day. I unpacked my bags as soon as we got home and repacked them it was little bit of a crazy transition but so worth it.

I made new friends had lots and lots of fun and can't wait to go back again. I really love girls camp!!!!

We went to Heber Valley Girls Camp. It was a beautiful location and even had flushing toilets and warm showers. In 9 years of going to girls camp I think that was my first time showering.

Thank You to everyone who helped watch my kids while I was gone playing/serving. Thank you especially to Traci and Amber who put in extra hours!

The fact that this post is over a week late has nothing to do with the level of love for this sweetie it is just how life has landed and that is that.
