We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Ne. 1:20).

Visitors

This was the view from our front porch yesterday evening.
There were about nine in all just hanging out, munching and running around playing.

Table

Well we finished it!! We actually finished it about 2 weeks ago but in my business I hadn't had the time to post about it but here it is.
Now remember this was the table and chairs we were using before.

Here is the new, used table the way we bought it before we started refinishing it.

This is the finished project. It is not perfect but it is large jump forward. We had to tweak a few things mostly we wanted the top to be lighter so that it would be a bigger contrast between the black bottom and the brown top of the table but it didn't work so this is what we have for now and Shiloh is throwing around the idea of some day building a new top for the table because we really like the legs to the table and the chairs.

Now that it is done we need to have a dinner party. So who wants to come over first?
p.s. Stay tune for some pictures of our next project. Shiloh is currently working on built in bookcases with a window seat for our office. We are always up to something.

1. Favorite Vacation: It must be So. California sense it is the only place we ever seam to go. I'm not complaining. We have tons of fun when we go and I am counting down only 35 days and we are headed back again but someday I'm going to travel for real. The So. Cal. trip that really sticks out in my mind is the first time we took ShiAnne she just loved it which made it so much fun for us.

2.My favorite rooms, in order: My Great room area is my favorite room/s. I think I like the kitchen the most. I love the beautiful cabinetry Shiloh made me, the red wall, the decorations above the cupboard that the kids can never mess up and the two pantries. The second pantry is on the wall just left of this picture.

I also really like my dinning area. I like the for mentioned red wall, the hutch Shiloh made for me and the dishes in the hutch that Shiloh's Grandma gave to me. If you have been following my blogs yes that is the refinished table. The chairs are not quite done yet, hopefully it won't take to much longer and then I will show off the finished project.
I like my living room too. I believe it is the one room in the house that we actually bought new furniture for. While it is still some of the least expensive stuff at RC Willey at least it is new.

But my favorite part of my living room is this yellow wall. It may be the product of a mistake (long story) but I really like all the cheery red and yellow together.

One of my other favorite things is the fact that we actually splurged and got the railing instead of the half wall.
3. Kitchen Sink: Amber kind of tipped me off to clean before I checked out her blog so I was good today and did all my chores including dishes before I went and looked at the blogs.
4. My closet:My closet is another one of my favorite things about this house. When they built it we changed where the door was so you entered it from the bathroom. It is large enough to change your clothes right in the closet.

5. Laundry Room: Not one of the favorite places in this house. It is to small and I wish that the washer and dryer where against the back wall (like it was in the model) instead of the side wall, so I wouldn't have to shimmy in and shimmy out to do the wash.
6. Toilet: My bathroom, nothing very exciting here.
7. Fridge: It is very full with lots of yummy food right now.
8. What are my kids doing right now: Gideon woke up while I was taking the pictures. He wasn't very happy about me coming in taking pictures of him.

Now Lizzy and Gideon are busy watching Peter Pan and ShiAnne is at school.
9. Favorite pair of shoes: I don't really have one pair of shoes that I just love but these are my top 4. Left to right: my favorite sandals, they are starting to where out, my favorite everyday shoes, my favorite brown church shoes and last my favorite black church shoes.

10. Self Portrait: Why are self portraits so unfaltering??

I now tag: I hate tagging people, not because I hate to be tagged but because I don't have that long of a list of blogging buddies so I feel like I tag the same people all the time. So if you read this and you are brave enough to do it consider yourself tagged. Here's what you have to do: Without cleaning up or doing anything go and take pictures of the 10 things above. Good luck girls.
