We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Ne. 1:20).

Celebration #3

My mom "Grandma Belly Pie" has a tradition with the grand kids when they turn 4 and every birthday after that until they are 12 she takes her grand kids shopping and lets them pick out there own presents. This is a tradition that as you can imagine is loved by her grand kids, she has 18 of them, and Lizzy #11, is the newest one to reach the age of shopping. She is very flexible
with the rules. If the grand kids want to go with just Grandma, then they go alone, if they want mom to come mom can com, If they want a brother, sister or cousin to come then they do that, it is all about what the birthday kid wants. So it was Lizzy turn and she new what she wanted. Last November she got to go birthday shopping with her best cousin Lia so she want to do what Lia
did and she wanted Lia to come with. They went to "Build a Bear!" Oh, the fun!! She picked out a yellow sparkly bear. It has two hearts in it, on from Lizzy and one from Lia. It is dressed in pink with glass slippers. Her name is Abigail. The shopping was a definite success and ShiAnne is planning to do it next year.
